SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM 2024
Back by popular demand for the 2024 Amazon Canoe Challenge, our Supported Sponsorship Program gives you everything you need to know to find a sponsor for your team. Join adventurous teams from around the world as we paddle over 250 km through the Amazon to raise awareness on illegal logging in Peru.
THE CHALLENGEOUR PROGRAM
We offer this program to help teams secure their entry through sponsorship or fundraising. We offer this additional support completely free, as we believe that adventure should be accessible for everyone no matter their financial status. Aside from creating the adventure of a lifetime, our team is on a mission to raise awareness on illegal logging in the Peruvian Amazon – By helping you to secure sponsorship, we are also helping you to spread the word.
You get to paddle the Amazon on the adventure of a lifetime, and we can raise more awareness. It’s a win-win.
HOW IT WORKS
We offer supported guidance to teams looking to compete in the Amazon Canoe Challenge to obtain sponsorship. It’s a step by step process, where we guide you through how to find, approach and secure sponsors for your team.
When you sign up, we send you a free copy of our ‘Complete guide to Sponsorship’, and set a personalised plan with milestones to complete your goals. In the lead up to the challenge, we will be checking in with your team to ensure you are on track, as well as answering any questions and reviewing briefs and proposals as part of your plan.
It is your team’s responsibility to put in the work required, and to reach out to sponsors. We do not do this on your behalf – Like paddling the Amazon, this takes persistence, determination and hard work. We will however be there to support you along the way and look forward to helping you to achieve your goals and earning your place on the adventure of a lifetime.
We have limited places available on this year’s program. To ensure that we can give them to teams who are serious about committing to the program, we ask for a £99 deposit, which is refundable in the case that you do not reach your targets up until 60 days before departure.
SIGN UP
First of all, we usually set up a quick call with someone in our team to introduce you to the event, our mission and answer any questions that you have on the challenge. This is usually with the challenge director Carlos.
Then we will send you through an information pack with the finer details of the challenge and detailed information on the sponsorship support that we offer.
After that, we can secure your spot – It’s up to you whether you want to aim to get full or partial sponsorship of your team’s place on the challenge, but we will support you along the way to do so. Any additional fundraising for our community partners is also welcome, you will meet them in Amazon too!
